Cable Guards

Description

Heavy duty cable guards from CableSafe protect electrical cables and hoses where they cross walkways, driveways, and busy work zones. The lightweight polyurethane design absorbs the impact of foot traffic, trolleys, and vehicles, while a hinged lid lets crews add or swap cables in seconds — no cutting, no taping, no improvising.

Cable guards eliminate two risks at once: tripping accidents caused by loose cables across the floor, and damage to cables themselves from being crushed, dragged, or exposed to weather. They are used at concerts and live events, in industrial factories and refineries, at ports and shipyards, on construction sites, and at sporting venues — wherever temporary power, data, or hose lines need to cross a path that people or vehicles also use.

Available in 2-channel, 3-channel, and 5-channel configurations, with rubber corner pieces for left and right turns.

Heavy Duty Cable Protection

Why heavy duty matters

Standard cable covers fail under the conditions that matter most: vehicle traffic, heat, repeated deployment, and chemical exposure. CableSafe Heavy Duty Cable Guards are built from polyurethane, which is lighter, stronger, and more durable than the rubber covers commonly used on construction sites.

The 5-bar tread surface keeps the guard stable underfoot and under tyre, even in wet conditions. The integrated male-female connecting system means guards can be linked end-to-end to any length, with rubber corner pieces handling the turns. An inbuilt carry handle on each section means one person can carry one guard in each hand — no two-person lifts for routine setup.

Where they pay off

In factories, grid stations, and refineries, exposed cables are not just a trip hazard — they are an electrical and fire hazard. A damaged cable in a wet or oily environment can short, arc, or ignite. Heavy duty cable guards extend cable life, reduce wear and tear, and protect the workforce from electric shock at the same time.
